Competence Center Raman Spectroscopy

To develop regulative and adaptive systems, as it is performed in the profile area, the quantitative determination of dynamic changes of the structure, the composition and intermolecular interactions in multi-component systems is highly important. The typical overlay of reaction processes with transport- and movement processes in multi-component systems is a major challenge for the spacial and time-resolving analysis in particular. Raman-Spectroscopy offers a non-invasive method of measurement for these tasks, which allows for a highly accurate species-selective analysis over many size- and time scales. Therefore, Raman-Spectroscopy is a key technique for the profile area with potential for further application fields which range from energy applications to material development.
